Florida All-Stars provides boys and girls in the 5th through 11th grade a competitive environment to develop athletic skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership while participating in our sports programs. Our dedicated coaches and staff work hard to help our student-athletes achieve excellence both on the court and in the classroom.
Teams compete in local league games, AAU, US Amateur, USSSA, and Exposure sanctioned basketball events. For more information on the Florida All-Stars please contact our staff located here.
Florida All-Stars Travel Basketball program will host open tryouts for boys and girls in February 2023. Teams will be organized by grade, gender, skill, and the number of players at each level. Each team will have a maximum of 10 players, practice up to three times per week.
Tryouts will begin with a written exam to evaluate players’ basketball I.Q. followed by basketball drills which include dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defensive skills. Scrimmages will also be used to evaluate each player’s skills and abilities in a game-like situation. The team groupings for scrimmages during tryouts will be changed several times so that each player will play with and against many different players.
Prospective players must register online for their grade level as of October 2022. At the end of each tryout, the coaches will complete the selection processes and notify players within 72 hours. Tryouts are free but if the player is selected for a team there is a Registration Fee to cover the cost of gym rental, equipment, tournament fees, uniforms, and travel expenses.
More information about the date, time, and location will be posted on this website in the coming months.
